Sigachi Industries Limited was incorporated as a private limited company in 1989, with the business of manufacturing chlorinated paraffin and hydrochloric acid at its manufacturing unit in Hyderabad. In 1990, the company diversified its product portfolio to manufacture microcrystalline cellulose (MCC). It commenced export operations in 1996 by exporting its first order of MCC to Bangkok. Due to the consistent efforts of the company, exports constituted 32% of its total sales during the financial year ending March 31, 2004.
